I wish I’d seen this video before I brought my PC I have now had four motherboards in less than six months I upgraded the RAM to 64 gigs and they are refusing to deal with me my only option seems that I will have to take them to court through legal prosecution please anybody out there believe me this is not a one off this company is ripping people off and deceiving people they are con merchants under a big name banner
Worst buyers remorse i've ever had.. I bought a G5 gaming desktop, it showed up with a faulty ram stick and a bunch of bloatware on the hard drive(I had to put it in another tower to check because the ram stick didn't work). I tried calling and explaining my issue 10+ times and every time the person i spoke to(An indian, it is relevant, not racism.) would not help me at all. It took multiple calls to get them to understand that they sent faulty hardware and the only option was for me to wait upwards of 40+ days to get my computer back. Such a joke.
Your first mistake was buying a Dell.
Well, here I am 4 years later only to find out nothing has change. I been having to deal with them for the past 2 weeks and most likely going to get scammed.
I don’t trust Dell. They have a lot of scammers in India, granted you don’t hear other people talking in the background. But, still. People can have a PC, but I would select Apple instead. This call sounds like a scam. These guys would LOVE to sell something with bullshit prices to you.
You have every right to be appalled that he would tell you to extend your warranty.
They charged me twice. For one purchase. There customer support sounds just like this. Hhmmmm… never again with dell
Same here. Never again Dell. They don’t solve your problem, but then try to sell you something, like advanced support for $99 or a refurbished motherboard that costs more than the original laptop. The worst! Some scheme going on there.
These are typical among SCAMMERS, please make sure the number is legitimate before calling any scam center.
I had experienced this super bad customer service many times to Dell. They are really unprofessional they also taking it as personal blame to them. They are the worst.
During the labor day weekend I got on the Dell website and decided I was going to buy the XPS 13. No way I can afford an XPS 13 working full time and taking 3 classes a semester(what I can afford). There was a $600 off coupon code on many websites(pcmag, laptop mag, CNET) that I entered on the site and it dropped the price into my range. I used the chat on the website to find out what models the coupon was valid for. They told me first it didn't work when I literally already had a laptop in my cart with the code a click away from purchasing. They told me to use the labor day special instead which is much less of a discount. They then told me they would email me a list of all models valid with my coupon. After 2 hours and no email I got back on chat. They then tell me the coupon code is expired and I need to contact pcmag or CNET or whoever else marketed the coupon if I had a problem with it. Do you think an email to michael_dell@dell.com is worth it? I have all 3 or 4 of my chat transcripts. I got heated at a certain point.
Me and my mom were on the call with dell we asked how to manufacture reset cause the options only said that we needed a disc and the pc doesn’t have a disc injector and they said we didn’t have a warranty and we bought a two year warranty and my mom cussed the guy out
They suck i agree but you havnt said what you actually want in 10 minutes. We dont know. Did you want replacement? Refund? Different model? Credit? Warranty extention?
Called to ask dell about outdated drivers, and they tried to sell me a $220 warranty. Pathetic, and they demanded my full name and address!
First off, Dell support in general is really pretty terrible, having said that, the supervisor actually handled the call well. You are an extremely difficult customer and a self entitled asshole. You wrote an email to the board of directors? Holy hell, you just wanna feel important don't you? Don't you think they have better things to do than listen to your bitching? Get a life you fucking looser. The end goal of your call is basically just getting a free extended warranty.
Never again with Dell. My laptop started going to hell in less than a year. First the battery, now the port for the AC power. Customer Service is trash, and I've reached my patience limit with them. I seriously hope people stop buying their products and they go out of business. Wishful thinking I'm sure, but seriously, what an awful company.
Okay so… a few things here.
1. I work in support and even though it was an upsetting experience it was awesome you kept your voice low and did not curse. That really is appreciate from our side.
2. When you call into "tech support" the agent and that department can only assist with issues occuring with the system at that time. They cannot assist with potential issues of the future. They also are extremely limited when it comes to warranty concerns. (Which is not the call reason but just additional info here.)
3. I am sure they provided those avenues to you because that is all they can do within their department.
4. They could have sent you to like… sales or if there is a department specifically for quality concerns. This is a very true statement.
Did Dell ever reach out to you??
Dell coustomer service is horrendous! I'm dealing with an issue with them now. I had asked to speak to a supervisor 11 times and the agent finally claimed to transfer me the supervisor but instead transfered me to the PARTS department! Dell is utter shit
I think, if you have to get a repair in the warranty period, the warranty period should RESTART when you receive the repaired computer.
This Advanced Resolution Group rep was supposed to get you a supervisor immediately. He broke laws established in the US they have to adhere to as it is a US based company. Give them hell #delldoesntcare on Twitter. Fuck Dell. My laptop crapped out same way 3 months after I got it. Had the same concerns, forced them to replace it 1 month after the warranty expired, it did it again. They refused to honor the product and I am thinking a class action is in order. Dustin, you are the MAN! When he refused, he broke the law again. Vijay is the same representative that handled my claim in January this year. It is now two months later and Nothing has been done to handle my claim. They even called me a liar. I would love to know if they handled your situation.
I'm binge watching these calls on my fiance's Alienware. Can you guess why I'm using my fiance's laptop and not my own?!
It helps to know that it wasn't me, and that they are shit. I'm hoping that they get shut down when people sees things like this and refuse to give Dell their money.
By the way, my Dell laptop is a year old. This Alienware is… Five or six?
