An arrest has been made in connection to the murder and dismemberment of a tech CEO; CBS2’s Alice Gainer reports.

La Misere says:

This is the 3rd case involving a current or former employee who murders their employers for money that I've read about recently.

1. Two Boston doctors who were engaged to be married–Dr. Richard Field & Dr. Lina Bolanos–were found tied up with their throats cut inside their condo in May 2017. They were murdered by Bampumim Teixeira, who had worked as a security guard at the couple's luxury condo building.

2. In May 2015, a wealthy Washington D.C. family were brutally murdered at their home. The victims included Savvas Savopoulos, his wife Amy, their 10-year old son Philip, and Vera Figueroa, their housekeeper. The 3 adults had been beaten with a baseball bat, the wife's throat was cut, and the husband and housekeeper were stabbed to death. Their son, who had missed school that day due to illness, had been tied to his bed and burned alive. The family had been kept alive for a few days during which heaps of money had been withdrawn from their bank account and given to their killer, Daron Wint, a former employee the family had hired for one of their lucrative businesses.

3. This story featured in the video above. This one has a clearer motive. Killing is never ever a rational motive for anything but this case has the most explainable. I wonder what he loaned him the money for? That's a LOT of money. But there was really no way to prevent this horrible murder as loaning money to your own personal assistant at work is about the most careful one could get when deciding whether it's safe to do such a thing with such a large amount of cash. He trusted him. This totally came out of left field and makes all of us want to trust even those close to us a little less.

Gene Clark says:

Mo HamHead says:

the case is interest me to follow up.if your boss really that forgiving, how could the assistant still chose to kill his boss after steal his money ? That kind of cold blood person that simplest solution is by killing people is not allowed to live free anymore / live longer. usually this kind of case, testimony from one side (only from suspect ) usually false statement that tend to blame the victim.congrats for NYPD.it's really fast suspect discovery.
