How to SHAPE any GOLF SHOT – How to hit a DRAW | Hit a Fade | Hit it Straight | Hit it High or Low

Share it with your friends Like

Thanks! Share it with your friends!

If you want to learn how to hit a golf ball straight you must first learn how to shape any golf shot. If you learn how to hit a draw and then you learn how to hit a fade you now have two very different FEELINGS.

You can use these feelings as a kind of framework to work within to feel how to hit golf ball straight.

In this golf video you will learn how to hit a draw, a fade, how to hit a golf ball low and high

This skill is a fundamental to learning the game of golf and becoming a more consistent golfer. It is not something you should wait to achieve until you get to a certain standard. If you can’t shape the ball both ways it’s almost impossible to feel how to hit driver straight or take control of your irons.

You will also see how by improving your FEEL you will naturally strike your irons pure. It simply comes from a greater sense of what the club head is doing.

If you enjoy the video here is your free practice guide that will help you when you go to practice

Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

This golf lesson provides a couple of wonderful drills to help you hit your driver straight. If you are a beginner golfer and are looking for some golf driver tips or simply what to learn how to hit your irons better you are going to love this.

I will show you the golf swing slow motion so that you can see what you need to do to improve.

We look at 3 things:

1. How to start the downswing
2. How to hit driver and irons straight
3, How to generate effortless power

I hope these simple golf tips can help you create an effortless golf swing

Hope you enjoy

Juan Belon Gallego says:

Thanks so much!! Not only your videos help on the technical part but also your passion makes us enjoy golf much more!

Craig newman says:

Single figures here I come😊. I’m sooo close to my goal. No one has ever aught me how to shape my shot particularly right to left and keeping my irons low. My natural is a high fade through all my clubs . Effective, but losing me my iron distance. My draw shots are by accident and I didn’t understand how I did it ha ha. Many thanks Danny . Cheers Anita.

Paul Bunn says:

Super video. I would’ve thought you had done this kind of video ages ago. Glad it’s now and just in time before golf starts again Monday
Cheers Danny ⛳️🏌️‍♂️🤞👍

Anthony Farmer says:

Brilliant Danny, perhaps your best yet (which is saying something!). Concentrating on the feeling with small changes (e.g. knuckles down) really works for me. It only started to fall apart a bit for me when I started thinking too much. Not sure how you manage to get such consistent distance though, my fades are much shorter than my draws (a club or so). Thanks for the great content 👏

Gerald Lee says:

As a lefty, I found it slightly confusing but I think I got it.

Stuart Aitken says:

Absolutely fantastic Danny, love it 👍 Simple, fun and great advice

Jason Bruhn says:

I'm curious if you're starting with the face either open or closed depending on the shot at address or are you doing something during the swing to open or close the face?

Julian says:

Hi, Danny. Great video as always. Big thanks for the content. Could you also do a video on "attack angle" and how to improve it? The trackman numbers prove, that PGA Tour Players have an attack angle of -4,5 for an 8 iron and even -1,3 for the Driver. You are also catching that numbers in your videos (but most amateurs don´t). Would be interesting to know, how an amateur could improve the attack angle from shallow (-1 for an 8 iron) to steep (-4) without just chopping down. Best regards! Julian

jimmyskin25122512 says:

Always enjoy watching your videos. Your instructions are always so simple to understand. I've just come across something called a divot board and was wondering if it would be a worthwhile purchase (that's if you have ever come across it) ?

joe knobloch says:

Always a gentleman and a scholar! I was just trying to mess around with this. It is super hard right now, we still have nets up, hard to see what is actually happening and on the course makes it harder to really trust the shot if you don’t know exactly where it’s going to go. Last night on the range I was finally able to get some extra pop in my shot, people around could hear it and got some looks, that was really encouraging. I’m super excited to take this next step and as always love the information and detail.

Jimmy Walker says:

Thanks Danny, love your videos and they are always simple to do!!!

james Burke says:

Another great video. Danny your the man !!!

John Herman says:

Thanks Danny always good info.

Ernest Small says:

Great video. I’ll definitely try these tips this weekend!

Paul Miller says:

Great video Danny. I really like the way that you explain it so simply.👍

David Pollard says:

Can't wait for next week and trying all the great tips out on the course. As ever thanks

Mike Woods says:

When trying to draw or fade do you close or open the club face before you take your grip or turn the club face after you have taken your grip? Also which way do you aim the club face after you have re-positioned your hands or grip or are you just positioning aiming your body?

Randy Launius says:

Hi! Do I take my normal grip with my left hand and twist my knuckles left to set up for a draw(changing the angle of my wrist)? Or should I take my normal left hand grip and use my right hand to spin the club slightly left in my left hand, keeping my knuckles in the same spot, only twisting the club? thanks for the videos !

Hans Appeldoorn says:

Thanks Danny we all try to make a straight shot but now i now there are different ways.

David Cox says:

Love this simple lively video with your signature positive spin. One on thing of extreme importance to me is that I have discovered that a more awesome attitude equals a more awesome round. Keep these gems coming. I can hardly wait for the next one. Thanks Danny!

Beverly W says:

Thanks Danny. Always appreciate how break it down, keeping it simple. Look forward to trying these tips. For keeping low, should the backswing be abbreviated as well? Thinking of times when you need to avoid tree limbs.
