How to Buy a Budget Friendly Project Car
Learn how you can buy a project car for less than the cost of a new cell phone! Project cars are great for learning how to fix a car and when you are "done" (project cars are never done), you can be proud to drive the car you fixed up!
In this series eBay Motors challenged me to buy a 24hr endurance race car for the 24hrs of Lemons race series. The car I chose had to be fast, reliable, and under $500!

My E34 M20b25 doesn’t leak any oil 🤪
Use vredestein tires there Cheap and good
Pirelli tires I don’t have experience but I do have a stage two 4.2 litre v8 Audi a8l and it’s top speed is 192mph and I use Pirelli so it is a great tire brand as I go the top speed most of the time
Please show us everything. I would love to see it because I’m trying to build a race car myself
NS2R Nankangs for budget and longetivity, with a tiny compromise of longer lap time, still – how many laps is a tyre change when things are hot? Consider endurance brake pads as well, longetivity over friction coefficient. Street brake pads can cause fire within 1st hour of race, seen that, Brembo does not always mean race suitable.
Experience: Me and my team done 5 Swedish endurance races of 3-4h in a Peugeot 207GTI (1000kg) on Kumho V70A K51, AR-1 and NS2R. Pads – Ferrodo DS2500, DS3000 and DS1.11. Also seen Federal RSR and Advan AD08 on some BMWs inside the competition. Toyo 888 become way less predictable when overheat. I guess you on the other side ocean have a couple more alternatives from Maxxis, Hankook and Zestino.
Sell the gear knob
Mustard and del sol projects all wins
You could probably sell the decals
I'd like to see everything from the fireext. to the fitting of the roll cage.
Michelin pilot sport are pretty good tyres
@ChrisFix for the tires you could try "kenda kaiser 265/35zr18 tl 93w" but in your tire width if they have them. I don't know much about tires but noriyaro has run them for drift but I believe they are high grip and have a tremendous track life.
Post your next video. I love your videos
My BMW has lots of issues with the Coolant system but I heard that is all bmws now days
Paid $1100 for a race that limits you to $500. I'm confused 😕
